Thanks for telling us about the problem. One of my favourite sections is the story of the land of the dead. Jumping from one story to another, Couto paints a terrifying portrait of a terra ravaged by war, famine and senseless cruelty where characters and readers alike marvel at the way we come to accept the impossible as reality.
