OK, that’s probably a little harsh. What I wasn’t prepared for was the kind of single-minded absorption Haven Travis’ story would incite in me.
Travis #2: El diablo tiene ojos azules, de Lisa Kleypas
The second time reading this story I enjoyed it even more. But Blue-Eyed Devil book 2 is brilliant. He liss acted like an asshole in the end of that book but I deffinitely wanted a HEA for him.
Is it necessary to read the book before this Sugar Daddy klepyas this? Thanks for telling us about the problem. Coming out of a bad marriage Hav 4 stars! I had tears in my eyes more than once, but it wasn’t a sobfest. In the other hand, we witness Hardy becoming as uncertain about himself as any man can be when he finaly finds the person that matters the most in his life, and that weakness made him even more perfect for me. Nobody in Houston or Texas talks like that unless they got lost, lost as in missed the exit three states ago.
There are honestly so many thoughtful and charged passages I would have liked to quote, but in the end I’m going with a favorite lighter-but-packs-a-punch-at-the-end snippet to illustrate the what I’m talking about here: I really enjoyed reading about Hardy again because it felt like something was so wrong with him in the previous book that I wanted to see his HEA.
I am a HUGE fan of her historical romances but her contemporary romances are nothing to laugh at. In Blue I was really excited okos read this after meeting Hardy in tieme 1st book of the series, Azzules Daddy.
El Diablo Tiene Ojos Azules
Just that Hardy is very forceful. I used to get SO angry when my brother was allowed more privileges staying out later, not having to ‘call in’. I felt like some of my liea of it was a bit dampened by the emotional impact of the first half. His reaction is priceless. View all 17 comments. And even more so that she had people she could rely on to take care of her and protect her at her most vulnerable.

He’s not interested in mucking things up because he can’t take his eyes off Haven Travis. Mi reencuentro con Lisa Kleypas ha sido bastante bueno.
Which was both exciting and not so exciting. This story is about two people who don’t know their designated place in life, so they drift wherever the wind takes them, persuing random avenues and finally finding their place in it’s other’s arms.
This was a fun read. Yes, the descriptions play an important role in understanding Haven’s character, but ultimately, she fails to internalize the lessons learned from the experiences, and as such, their harshness is not warranted, especially in a romance novel.
El Diablo Tiene Ojos Azules : Lisa Kleypas :
Haven Travis has had to live with enough overbearing men for two lifetimes, thank you very much. I thought if I heard “it’s different with boys” one more time I’d commit murder. Being a Travis, though, she gives it the old college try.
Published June 15th by Ediciones Zeta first published March 25th Addendum In all fairness to my snark about the narrator being too Southern and not enough Texan, she did a great job with the emotional aspects of Haven.
Showing that difference almost elevated this an extra star for me both because it is a hard thing to do and because she pulled it off so well.
El diablo tiene ojos azules (Travis, #2) by Lisa Kleypas (4 star ratings)
Long enough that when she finally extricates herself oios the help of her big brother Gageshe’s in no way ready to resume normal life. In fact, I still haven’t. In other words, she stuck to the essentials and left the events and their aftermath to speak for themselves.
I’m beginning to think I may grow somewhat fatigued near the end of the best Kleypas novels because she makes you want so much. Because you are never, ever detached.
Como no amar a Fiene Cates!!! Melanie aka the narrator. I felt like I was there, with my hands tied behind my back and my screams of warning falling on deaf ears. It’s funny because everyone told me after I read Sugar Daddy that I would love this book more and well And yes, everyone gets a HEA in the end Or at least get what they deserve.
But there may be k,eypas to Hardy than meets the eye, but Haven isn’t sure if she’s ready to handle a man like him. A lot, given how much that kind of thing is hard for me to tolerate. Sugar Daddy is also a wonderful book not to missed for its own unique plot and amazing heroine Liberty.
And so a tentative friendship is struck, despite their respective lack of knowledge of the extreme baggage the other carries as well as the gargantuan disapproval of her family.

Mind you, it was never OTT or made me want to discontinue. We’re featuring millions of their reader ratings on our book pages to help you find your new favourite book.
I was even more elated when Hardy showed up. But they did have that one encounter years ago. I love Kleypas’ writing style which makes it so effortless to fall into lisq world and read about her characters. Anyyywayyy I really loved Hardy in this one.
