Will these books appeal to me as these are years old and we have seen lot of inspired or similar works in movies.? In other words, she accidentally revealed who the killer was, then realized she didn’t, and instead of leaving the matter be, feeling relieved n I’ve been the victim of a terrible idiocy! It was a slow go to get there but I get it now, it makes sense! No deductions involved whatsoever. Besides the slow moving story, the twist at the end was hardly a “twist” and had been heavily hinted at during the end of the story, and the ending seemed like an easy way out for the author. All of the characters are introduced to us early, so there are no annoying surprises when a perpetrator jumps out at the last moment. I desperately wanted to believe it was just a prank but truth is, having read a few of the reviews, the revelation was fitting the description of the totally unexpected. Was I disappointed, oh no, if anything I’m seriously thinking of upping it to 5 stars. So as this book is counted in top mystery books, I definitely wanted to be ahead of Christie or sho Soo, I have heard a lot of wonderful things about this book and about this great ending.

This Hercule Poirot is a genuine tour de forcea classic of the genre, for a very good reason that you will understand perfectly as soon as you have finish reading it. Adrienne John, great review. In any case, this is one of the greatest mystery novels I have ever read, not only because there is no way to guess who the killer is, but also because of the way the story unravels without putting the reader’s mind at ease even for a second.


Everything fits and makes sense and I just didn’t get there and I am blown away by the ending of this novel. But one question strikes me the most – Why does Dr. Happy Reading James and John.

Agatha Christie will leave you dazzled.

This did not diminish my interest to read further and discover how the mystery unravels. Really really recommend this one.
