My fave of hers is Light in Shadowif you’re looking for a rec. According to her Web site, Crusie is an accomplished romance writer, but while Faking It can be classified broadly as a romance novel, it’s definitely not poorly written. Tilda and Davy were offbeat and bizarre and real. I also subscribe to her blog. I get tired of reading typical romance paperback sex scenes where everything is perfect, predictable, and synchronized.

Tried to read this, but couldn’t fake even liking it– which is unusual, because I actually kinda like this author. Complications include her sister, the female impersonator; his if friend, the reformed cat burglar; a recidivist embezzler named Rabbit; a hit man, some lousy sex, and a juke box.

We touched briefly on women going for men who are similar to their fathers. Of course there were some love scenes throughout, but frankly they weren’t that good either.
