I have really loved this series – laughed and cried several times. My only complaint, the only one – is the format and typos. Buffalo Valley resenbles many places in my family’s history, and perhaps in yours. xlways

Each story is great. This is not earth shattering fiction, just simple and fun.

As Margaret and Matt grapple with issues of trust, other members of the community familiar to those who have read the trilogy’s earlier volumes attempt to cope with a rebellious teenager, a fragile pregnancy and a kidnapping.

What a beautifully written end to this trilogy. I think my dislike stemmed from the Axel subplot and the dakotx of Shelley’s pregnancy. This story is how Margaret and the man she had her “sights” set on would eventually fall in love.

Macomber is also the author of the bestselling Cedar Cove Series which the Hallmark Channel chose as the basis for its first dramatic scripted television series. In this book she masterfully moves the story along while not shortchanging the main plotline.
Then there’s Margaret who decides she’s going to marry the bad boy in town because she knows she can give him what he wants: This is the 3rd and final book in the Dakota Trilogy. What Matt has to offer besides his good looks is harder to discern, however. The lead couple is a wonderful pair, and the supporting cast brings North Dakota to life. How they get from meeting to marriage is fraught with tension and misunderstanding But this pregnancy has been a stressful one for Sarah.

I also enjoy that her books tend to run in series or trilogies, so you get I rarely go looking for a Debbie Macomber book, but when I happen to pick one up, I always seem to enjoy it. This town exists only in my imagination, but its spirit and sense of community are definitely real. There’s a problem loading this menu right now. She befriended a new comer to the little town of Buffalo Valley and asked her to help her learn to be more womanly so she could attract the attentions of a man she’d fallen in love with.
