I am sure that the book did not even scratch the surface of how is life was. Thorson got mixed up in a money laundering scheme through a night club he partially owned I think he purposely fudges wih how much he knew about itran afoul of the Mafia, ended up being a witness in the infamous Wonderland murders and going into witness protection.
