I was tksma a little of a smaller, much bleaker, less nostalgic version of Gregor Von Rezzori’s Czernapol. This is not a knock on the intro – well maybe it’s a slight knock, because, while ok, it’s more of a fannish, “hey check out this writer, he’s great, so is this book and his other books, and here tism a few spoilers”-type of intro than upotrebaa really informative analysis of the book’s writer, ideas, and environment.
Tisma’s portrayal of their situation is certainly poignant, aelksandar he belabors the obvious in overly melodramatic fashion.
