The EnvisaLink board is more recent but if need to have your Vera more than about 6 feet from your panel it’s probably a more robust option. Also, have you looked for open services listening on the device like telnet or anything that could give you a shell which would ease the next steps? Probably in the MHz to MHz range. I find it annoying that Windows doesn’t look at file headers when there is no extension, and that not every linux application tries to use an extension for ease of use.
Maybe part 2 of the post will be decompiling the binaries: Even if the extension mattered, it could have been a totally proprietary one. The sensors are just contact closures, sometimes with a resistor or two worked in. Don’t complain about content being a PDF. Welcome to Reddit, the front page of the internet. Program manuals are easy to get online, but if you have questions about how to make them jump through yo, let me know. The “RS” interfaces is called the “Home Automation” interface by Honeywell which is why it has so much functionality. Honestly I would rather not break it or physically poke and prod at it and cause an issue.
I don’t think so. As well, all the zone names basically everything about them can be read and changed over the RS interface so this plug-in just reads them all in – no setup required.
